Bolt is a global mobility platform that offers a wide range of services, including ride-hailing, food delivery, car rentals, and micro-mobility options like scooters and bikes. Commitment to Sustainability
Bolt is a pioneer in sustainable transportation. It has pledged to achieve a carbon-neutral footprint by focusing on eco-friendly initiatives such as offsetting emissions and promoting the use of electric vehicles and shared mobility.
The company received its operating license from Malaysia's Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) on October 9, 2024.
The service is currently available in the Klang Valley region, including Kuala Lumpur. To attract new users, Bolt is offering a 50% discount on the first seven rides, capped at RM15 per ride, valid until November 16, 2024. Existing users can enjoy a 20% discount on 20 rides, also capped at RM15 per ride, until November 13, 2024.
Bolt's entry into the Malaysian market introduces additional competition in the ride-hailing sector, which is expected to benefit consumers through more choices and potentially better pricing. The company aims to provide an affordable and accessible mobility solution, starting with its ride-hailing service, with potential plans to expand into other areas such as food delivery and micromobility in the future.
For those interested in trying out Bolt's services, the app is available for download on both iOS and Android platforms.
